Curious how long it takes us to write something?
These are estimates only, for original content, based on several assumptions:
- 80+% of content is required from scratch, with research, discussions, and/or reading likely to be required for additional information.
- Writer may be piecing together existing documents, but the result is expected to be new.
- All content provided to work from (including slide decks, reports, datasheets, etc.) is accurate, but the writer may need to verify or find new facts.
- Style, tone, and format have been established and understood.
- Writer may assist on layout guidance if needed. No major changes expected.
- Page and word counts are average, as indicated.
- Two rounds of review/edits are included, plus proofreading. (Additional rounds may require additional time.)
- Range of hours depends on technical depth, research/reading required, and length of document.
- Remember all writers/editors/content providers differ. Some editors may work faster with more experience. These are only approximations.
